Maternity and Delivery

MATERNITY AND DELIVERY

“Every pregnancy is unique. Your care should be, too.”

The birth of your baby is an event many months in the making. It’s important that such a big moment is given a deserving level of care and attention by US. That’s why WE ARE here for you from prenatal care to childbirth and beyond. We want your experience to be the best it can be for you and your growing family

Our personalized approach to family-centered care is one of the many reasons why you should choose US to give birth. Family-centered maternity care means working closely with you and your family to make decisions regarding your individualized care.

We adapt to any situation, from your personal delivery plan to any unplanned aspect of your baby’s birth. Whether yours is a non-complex pregnancy and delivery or a high-risk pregnancy and premature delivery, we offer you peace of mind that you and your baby will benefit from the very latest in medical advances and compassionate care

During Prenatal care we will make sure you and your baby are healthy and strong. These regular check ups are your chance to learn how to manage the discomforts of pregnancy, have any testing you may need, learn warning signs, and ask any questions you may have. We can spot health problems early when we see mothers regularly. This allows us to treat them early. Early treatment can cure many problems and prevent others. We also can talk to pregnant women about things they can do to give their unborn babies a healthy start to life.

In case of planned pregnancies, the best advice would be to start taking care of yourselves before you start getting pregnant. This is called Pre-conception counselling. It means knowing how health conditions and risk factors could affect you or your unborn baby if you become pregnant. For example, some foods, habits, and medicines can harm your baby — even before he or she is conceived.

Bonding between your new baby and your family is important for everyone’s health and well-being. That’s why we encourage you to keep your baby with you in your room for your entire stay. “Rooming-in,” as the process is known, enhances family bonding by encouraging all members of the family to take an active role in the care of the infant.

The first six weeks following a baby’s birth can simultaneously be one of the most joyous and most difficult times for any woman. There are many changes and adjustments to be made physically, emotionally and socially, and many challenges to be faced. Just as every child is unique, so is every pregnancy, birth and postnatal period.

At Little Miracles, we are happy to care for all women during their pregnancy. We are a centre of Excellence for Pregnancy Care. We guide you through all stages of pregnancy to delivery and beyond.
